About the ‘Abstract & Intimate’ portfolio
These photographs tell a more subtle but equally important story of the landscape. A slice of the scene. They were often photographed on telephoto or macro lenses to exclude elements and hone in on patterns, layers, and areas of interest. Some of them are completely abstract, like with the creatively blurred intentional camera movement photographs. Seeing at this level didn’t come naturally to me in the beginning and it has been something that I’ve worked on year after year, coming to value equally with the more sweeping vistas common in landscape photography. These work extremely well as wall art of any kind especially if the colours and patterns fit with your space or if you are looking for something more artistic and thoughtful.
