FALL FOLIAGE
FALL FOLIAGE
About the ‘Fall Foliage’ portfolio
Fall is my favourite time to photograph. It is fleeting, covering about 3 weeks of varying levels of predominantly yellow colour on the aspen and alpine larch trees here in the Canadian Rockies. The weather is variable, the first snowfall normally arrives higher up on the peaks, and the backcountry is still safely accessible. Water levels have also subsided allowing you to cross or get in rivers or atleast get closer to the flow for dynamic compositions. This all makes for some unforgettable photographic opportunities. My list of locations to return to in fall is always getting longer. These look great printed on any surface, it’s simply too hard to pick just one and it will depend on the photograph itself.
