About the ‘Water & Growth’ portfolio
Growing up in Tasmania we had an abundance of freshwater and unspoiled forest. I’m drawn to these things here in Canada as well but the window of opportunity for photographing them is narrower. The Alberta Rockies, in particular, are quite different. Much more dry and also snowbound for many months of the year so I value the opportunities that spring and summer provide even more so to chase glacially fed waterways, wildflowers and forested scenes in my photography. Most of these shots required the use of bug repellent prior to pressing the shutter! These look great printed on metal or acrylic surfaces allowing for the details and vibrancy to match the freshness of the seasons in which they were captured.
